Point Aviation can overhaul your Continental/TCM/CMI Starter Adapter to like new condition. Once your Adapter is disassembled and inspected for condition and damage, the housing components are cleaned and Dye Penetrant inspected. The Main Shaft and Brass Wheel are resized as needed, Starter Shaft, Worm Gear and other steel parts inspected and certified. The unit is then reassembled with a new Main Spring, all new bearings, O-Rings, seals and hardware as needed. A new mountings gasket is included for installations that use one.
Most common 470/520/550 units are available as exchange units with an acceptable core.
An acceptable Starter Adapter core is a COMPLETE, undamaged as removed unit with a serviceable Main Shaft, Brass Wheel and Housing Components.
